About the Role

To take advantage of the accelerating demand for digital transformation services, we are now hiring additional field sales capability to the UK team. The successful candidate will be a truly consultative salesperson, able to engage with business leaders in large brands, uncover their business challenges and needs, identify how Inviqa can work with them to solve those challenges and thereby position Inviqa as a credible and long term partner.

As a junior business development manager, you will have a proven track record of engaging with large prospects on digital projects in the order of £50K-£150-K and above. Annual revenues will likely exceed £1M.

To deliver on this target, you will be expected to personally focus on and develop a client base in a specific industry sector, by understanding their challenges and digital needs. This will involve liaising with marketing and the lead generation team, working with partners and performing your own business development activity.  

To get good business across the line, you’ll marry that autonomous approach with being a team player, able to collaborate effectively with cross departmental pre-sales teams to get the right long term outcomes for clients and the business.

Our customers range from large and medium businesses to public sector organisations and start-ups. The majority of our business is in the UK, and you will be expected to travel to meetings on a regular basis (eventually after the COVID pandemic ends ).

As a  Junior Business Development Manager, you will be expected to:

  • Work with and expand current prospect database within specified business sectors to generate effective leads & exceed sales targets for the business 
  • Work closely with Marketing to identify appropriate go to market messaging for specific business sectors 
  • Work closely with the Sales Development channel to assist your execution of lead generation activities 
  • Develop a sales contact plan to include cold-calling, industry networking etc to build relationships with key prospects and sending out targeted marketing material across channels.
  • Work collaboratively with  our expert teams in the business to develop a tailored digital solutions proposal 
  • Be expert in seeking to deeply understand the value a prospect’s business seeks
  • Create and deliver innovative sales presentations for pitches
  • Manage and complete Tenders, RFI’s, & RFP’s. 
  • Work closely with colleagues in Inviqa to identify common new business prospects and cross-sell integrated solution propositions 
  • Represent and promote Inviqa at industry events, including round tables and new business events

In terms of your professional experience, you will have:  

  • A proven track record in proactive selling 
  • A good understanding of digital and ecommerce solutions, from Experience Design to technical build and ongoing optimisation 
  • Experience responding successfully to formal RFIs & RFPs for large brand & retail businesses 
  • Dealt  with businesses at Head of E-Commerce, Marketing Director level and above 
  • Developed effective tactical marketing strategies to support sales acquisition 
  • Built strong internal relationships with other business areas such as Marketing, Client Services and Project Management
  • Effectively managed and tracked lead generation activities and a sales pipeline through a CRM system
