People and Learning Adviser - Fixed Term (Part time/Flexible)

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic people person to join our lovely team. You’ll work across both the People and Learning teams, using your knowledge and experience to help us build a strong learning culture and a great place to work. You’ll need to be organised and comfortable working autonomously - but collaborative and happy to jump in and help where it’s needed. We are a small, super friendly and supportive team based across the UK and Germany and will be there to help you too! 

Salary Range: 

£32,000 to £40,000 FTE, depending on experience

About the Role

This is very much a dual role in terms of Learning v People. We need support on the People side, particularly with managing recruitment, but you will need to be enthused and experienced in creating great learning experiences, and understand what works best in different environments and for different kinds of people. There’s a lot of scope to bring good ideas to the table and turn them into reality - so if you’re keen to make a positive impact, this is the place for you.  You’ll work closely with our Senior HR Adviser and our Learning Adviser to help us deliver on our initiatives while keeping the day to day plates spinning. 

We think Inviqa is a pretty awesome place to work, but we want someone to help us make it even better. We have a lot of positive initiatives we want to deliver this year and an extra pair of hands will make all the difference in helping us reach those goals.   This is a fixed term contract that will run to the end of 2021, while we assess the need for this role in the longer term.  If we can see that need, then this would become a permanent role.

On the People side, you must have:

  • CIPD level 5 or equivalent experience 
  • Solid grounding in U.K. employment law, and experience of using this in practice in handling employee matters
  • Experience of preparing contracts, letters etc 
  • Experience in recruitment - interviewing, managing the process

On the Learning side, you must have:

  • Experience of creating and delivering engaging learning experiences 
  • Good understanding of how to create a great learning culture, backed up with knowledge of practical ways to support this
  • Happy to help out with admin as well as work on more strategic approaches
  • Creative and able to think outside the box

Nice to haves - not a dealbreaker 

  • German language skills 
  • Experience of working on People and/or learning projects

For this role we are looking for someone to do around 22.5 hours a week (three days) but this can be done as 5 short days (e.g around school hours) or as 3 full days - or talk to us to find what works best for you and we’ll see what we can do.
