About the role
The Marketing Director is responsible for developing our core marketing strategy and overseeing the management and delivery of marketing plans for the UK and Germany that deliver impact against our strategic goals.
You’ll shape and continually evolve a compelling marketing proposition that enables us to drive audience engagement, conversion, and retention.
In early 2022, Inviqa joined the Havas Group and moved its HQ into the Havas Village in Kings Cross. Being part of Havas presents a raft of opportunities: from the internal education and positioning of Inviqa, to establishing strong relationships with agencies across the village – with the focus on joint marketing initiatives, joint sales opportunities, and joint success. The Marketing Director plays a key role in developing those synergies and enabling the brand and the group to amplify each other’s efforts effectively.
Leading and shaping a team across the UK and Germany, you’ll ensure that Inviqa delivers on its business goals through the application of innovative and appropriate marketing activity.
Key responsibilities include
Marketing strategy and planning: define the marketing strategy and oversee the delivery of a marketing plan designed to deliver impact against our strategic objectives and growth plans.
Positioning and brand strategy: work alongside Marketing and key stakeholders to shape, interpret, and bring to life our evolving brand narrative and proposition. Collaborate with teams across the business to embed our brand proposition at every touchpoint. Build a deep understanding of our ideal customer profiles and core communities, ensuring that our offering, messaging, and approach aligns with their needs.
Multichannel campaigns: oversee the planning and execution of campaigns that leverage relevant channels and touchpoints to raise brand awareness within our target audiences and drive lead generation. Oversee our day-to-day performance marketing channels including paid social, paid media, partnerships, and so on.
Team leadership and direction: Lead and manage our friendly, skilled, and motivated marketing colleagues in the UK and Germany. Inspire, motivate, and lead by example while contributing to the everyday practicalities of life as a small marketing function.
Internal collaboration: liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to identify and develop opportunities (e.g. speaking opportunities, client advocacy) to demonstrate and showcase our capabilities, and help position Inviqa as a thought leader in our chosen markets. Support the activities of the Sales and Marketing teams and ensure the functions operate in tandem to achieve and exceed their targets.
Budget building & management: create and manage a viable budget that supports marketing ambitions, effectively balances value against results, and confidently justify investments.
Industry and partner engagement: confidently represent Inviqa to industry stakeholders, articulating our vision, what we do, and the compelling qualities that make up Inviqa. Liaise and collaborate with strategic partners to identify joint marketing opportunities and activities to drive shared growth.
Data-driven approach: ensure activity is measured, optimised for performance, and analysed for opportunities, and make marketing decisions based on data. Agree and set challenging growth goals, reporting on key metrics and sharing useful insights to inspire further lead generation ideas.
You thrive in an in-house digital agency / professional services environment and are equally comfortable collaborating with senior stakeholders, cross-organisational teams, and partners.
You share our core values: Purpose, Human, Open, Learning and Together. This means that you are goal driven and deliver on your commitments. You empathise with clients and colleagues. You share knowledge and give honest feedback. You have a thirst for learning, and collaboration is key to how you drive success.
The skills and competencies we’re looking for
Communication: You will be a natural and excellent communicator through all mediums.
Leadership: You’re a great leader. Motivating those around you, leading from the front but ensuring scope for the team to operate and grow their roles alongside their personal and professional skills.
Enthusiasm for digital products: You are passionate about inclusive and purposeful digital products that drive the best customer and business outcomes.
Teamwork: You’re a strong team player, but equally a self-starter, and able to work independently. You will work with other leaders in the business with a common purpose, prepared to listen to others as much as voice your opinions drawn from your professional expertise.
Organised: You’re highly organised, deadline driven, and able to work under pressure where occasions arise.
Creative and innovative: You’re able to think creatively about how to drive business impact across the spectrum of marketing activity. Willing to experiment and test ideas, you will have a flair for identifying how to maximise impact.
Proactive: You’re proactive, a problem-solver, and able to turn challenges into opportunities. You have a finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest marketing trends and insights. You provide data-driven recommendations and have a track record in discovering and leveraging new channels and untapped opportunities to drive more impact against our marketing KPIs.
Results focused: You are results-driven, with an understanding of which metrics are meaningful, and how to act on what they’re telling you. You have experience in setting and delivering against OKRs and KPIs.
