About the position

We’re looking for a content marketing manager with experience in a B2B content role within the tech or digital sector to join our busy marketing team. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience developing and managing a content-led communication strategy, as well as creating and developing high-quality, high-performance content across multiple platforms and formats to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion. 

You’re highly organised, with superb communication and copywriting skills, and you’re a perfectionist when it comes to the detail. You enjoy identifying opportunities and trends in the marketplace, and using analytics to uncover editorial opportunities, as well as collaborating with colleagues across the business to develop new ideas that position the company as an industry thought leader. Metrics-driven, you use data to drive your decision-making and to improve the effectiveness of content against agreed objectives.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Ensuring a continuous pipeline of engaging content that delivers business impact, including long-form (whitepapers, reports, blog posts, etc.) and short-form (social media, email campaigns, etc.) content across our key owned, earned, and paid media channels.
  • Running the content roadmap and calendar end-to-end across multiple marketing campaigns.
  • Planning, producing, and optimising content to support business objectives and marketing campaigns.
  • Reporting on content KPIs and the impact of content on the overall marketing strategy and key business objectives.

About you

  • You’ve developed high-quality content in the form of blog posts, research reports, whitepapers, thought leadership pieces, website landing pages, video, case studies, email copy, social copy, and more.
  • You have 3+ years’ experience in a B2B content role within the tech/digital sector or a similar industry
  • You’re a great researcher, recognising and identifying opportunities and trends in the marketplace, using analytics to uncover editorial opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of how content marketing affects SEO, and examples of how you implement SEO best practice to achieve organic search gains.
  • You’re able to think creatively about how to drive business impact across owned, earned, and paid media channels.
  • You’re proactive, a problem-solver, and able to turn challenges into opportunities.
  • You’re a pro at content measurement and KPIs, understanding which metrics are meaningful and how to act on what they’re telling you.
  • You get things done without ever compromising on quality.

Nice to have, but not essential

  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Literature, Journalism, PR, or a related subject. 
  • An understanding of (and possible background in) PR and communications, with the ability to explain how you would secure UK editorial opportunities.
  • Can speak, read, and write German to a high standard.

Salary range - £35K-£45K dependant on experience
